Bob is a company director with more than 45 years’ experience in resource exploration, project assessment, mining investment analysis and company management.
Bob commenced his career with the Geological Survey of New South Wales and held senior positions in the exploration divisions of Peko-Wallsend and MIM Holdings, two of Australia’s largest mining companies at the time. He is a former Managing Director of international resource exploration consulting and contracting firm, Austirex International, and general manager of listed mining investment company, Natquest. He has worked on exploration programs for many commodities, including copper, other base metals, gold, uranium and iron ore. He later worked as a mining analyst with three stockbroking firms, which includes his role as head of research at Jacksons, one of Australia’s leading brokers in the 1980s.
Bob is a former Non-Executive Director of several listed companies, including Centennial Coal, Midwest Corporation, Ferrowest, Burmine, Austmin Gold, Mt Lyell, the UK resources investment company Europa Minerals Group, and Mancala, a mining contractor. Most recently, he was Chairman of WPG Resources.
Ley is a qualified geologist with over 25 years’ experience, having worked for Western Mining Corporation, BHP and a number of juniors and mid-tiers on greenfield projects through to Resource definition and feasibility.
Ley formed her own exploration company, Highland Resources Ltd, in 2021, which she subsequently vended into a development company with gold reserves in North Queensland. Prior to that, Ley held a corporate role with Round Oak Minerals Pty Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Washington H Soul Pattinson & Company Limited, which was acquired by Aeris Resources Limited in 2022. Round Oak was a precious and base metals mining and exploration company with operations across four states.
Earlier in her career, Ley worked with a number of junior to mid-sized resource companies as Project Geologist through to Exploration Manager across a number of jurisdictions and commodities, including gold, base metals, lithium, iron ore and coal. Ley also spent two years with the Victorian Government where she worked with resources companies and led projects through the State’s complex approvals process with a view to expediting projects and improving government decision making.
Mark is a highly experienced geologist. Since 2014, he has been Managing Director of the ROMARDO Group, a private, Brisbane-based group focused on early-stage exploration project generation in precious metals, base metals and lithium.
In this role, Mark leads a private mineral prospect generator group involving ex-BHP/WMC senior geoscientists who were instrumental in the discovery of the giant Cannington (BHP) and Olympic Dam/Ernest Henry (WMC) deposits. His position involves the acquisition of new grassroots mineral exploration projects with the potential for world-class ore deposits and marketing these projects to potential purchasers via a JV Business Model.
Prior to his role with ROMARDO, Mark was a director of and advisor to several junior mining exploration companies, and previously spent 16 years with BHP Minerals, where he rose to the position of Manager, Global Base Metals.
Ian is an experienced corporate executive, having served as Director or Secretary on over 20 Boards including a number of ASX-listed companies. He is currently Secretary of Maronan Metals Limited (ASX: MMA) and was previously Secretary of WPG Resources and Eastern Iron (now Eastern Resources – ASX: EFE).
Ian is highly experienced in all corporate governance matters, including the ASX Corporate Governance Council’s Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations.
He is very experienced in all matters of company administration, management and marketing.
Jason is a geologist and company director. He started his career as an exploration and mine geologist at the Plutonic gold mine in Western Australia, then moved to BHP Billiton in South Australia, where he worked on the Olympic Dam mine expansion project. He has also worked with SRK, an international firm of consulting geologists, and spent two years in private equity assessing resource sector investment opportunities. He is a former Managing Director of Estrella Resources and is currently the Managing Director of PolarX, where he played a major role in negotiating the acquisition of key tenements in North America.
Jason’s honours thesis focused on the geology of the Lake Cargelligo area in New South Wales, close to Eastern Metals’ Browns Reef deposit, and his doctorate was in structural geology.
He has strong entrepreneurial and corporate skills, as well as a very firm understanding of structural geology and its role in the formation of metalliferous orebodies.
Ian Morgan is a highly experienced company secretary and finance manager, with a strong track record in business, corporate advisory and company restructuring, complemented by broad experience in project management, and reporting to and dealing with regulators.
He has a Bachelor of Business Studies, a Master of Commercial Law, is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia, an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, an Associate of the Governance Institute of Australia, and of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries.
Ian is company secretary of listed companies Godolphin Resources, Gowing Bros, King Island Scheelite, WT Financial Group and Vango Mining. He is a director of unlisted public company Oxley Resources.
